Bass*   Under the management of the Bass Club and Environmental Committee, some bass under 12 inches have been culled during bass tournaments or traded for coppernose bluegill.  This is in response to the recommendations of the lake survey conducted in 1995 and 2000. Records are being kept.

Sunfish**   These are regularly stocked for forage.  It is in our best interest to not harvest too many of these fish.

Gar/Drum/Carp***   It has been recommended that we remove from the lake as many of these fish as possible because they are non-game fish that can harm our lake if overpopulated.

Become a member of the Bass Club or Environmental Committee and help develop Lake Vilbig into a premium sport fishing lake. There are plenty of opportunities available for any member wishing to participate. If you can't contribute time, cash donations are accepted through the Bass Club.   As a result of careful  management, our lake has been a successful fishery and this is evident by viewing the lake records web page.
